Tadcaster

Beautiful Early nineteenth century gothic mansion refurbished in a conscious manner to preserve and retain as the original features.

Into Design was approached to reimagine the top floor for the clients 3 children. The floor had no heating and had been empty for years.

The three bedroom interiors were approached separately to acknowledging each child’s different tastes whilst also ensuring the rooms were designed to last throughout their teenage years.

Due to the slopped ceilings colour was brought through the bespoke fitted furniture. Partition walls were added to the bigger rooms to create either a gaming or dressing area. Keeping the rooms fun by adding colour change LED’s and quirky shelving ensured the children felt excited about their new spaces.

Although each room is different items such as hardware, flooring and the base paint colour carried throughout the floor ensuring all the rooms flowed.

The bathroom went through a full refurbishment and had the ceiling lifted. The main bathroom had to work for all 3 children so privacy was a must. A bespoke frosted shower screen and partition wall were added to help create some privacy. Beautiful tiles and bespoke vanity were specified and designed to create a grown up yet fun bathroom interior.

The tower was a fun addition to the floor, with it being high up on its own it was agreed that the space should be wallpapered with a cloud pattern. It’s now a secret sanctuary.

This beautiful barn conversion is full of stunning features and large rooms. The client was struggling with the lounge as it was an awkward shape.

A new layout was agreed upon. A new shelving area was designed, and furniture was specified to accommodate the whole family. The main colours throughout the design were purple and teal, the client’s favourite colours. The beams were sanded back, and a roof light was added to help lift the ceiling and bring more natural light into the space.

Avorium – York

I was approached by some siblings who were opening a new shop in York. The brief was to showcase their colourful stock in the best way possible. Encouraging people into the store was the focus of the brief.  The design was simple but effective. Bespoke plywood furniture was designed specifically for their shop so that they could create exciting displays with their stock. New lighting and seating were introduced to give the interior a welcoming feel.

Brighouse, West Yorkshire

My client wanted help creating a cosy room that had started to feel cold and uninviting. The current furniture was to stay but this all received a facelift by being re-upholstered and painted. The flooring and the windows all received new finishes to help the scheme come together. The room is now full of warmth and is enjoyed every day.
